We are looking for a Policy Manager/Senior Policy Manager on sustainability policies and technical regulation, covering a range of different environmental policy areas such as substance, waste and ecodesign regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily work of a number of working groups covering sustainability issues and technical regulations related to the digital and consumer electronics sector;
  • Monitor EU and national policy developments of relevance to the DIGITALEUROPE membership. Topics include, but are not limited to, substance, waste and ecodesign regulations as well as responsible sourcing;
  • Drive consensus in the working groups and support in the development of position papers and other materials;
  • Prepare and implement outreach and communication activities, build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, and represent DIGITALEUROPE externally at events.

Required skills and experience

  • Master-level University education with 5+ years of relevant work experience;
  • Experience in environmental policy, ideally also with experience in technical regulations;
  • Good understanding of EU decision-making processes and key stakeholders;
  • Understanding of the digital and consumer electronics sector;
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken – other languages are an asset – and a proven track record of drafting positions papers, articles and speeches;
  • Experience with working across borders in an international context;
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and deadlines;
  • Strong integrity and the ability to prioritize and focus.
