DIGITALEUROPE’s Digital Sustainability Policy Group covers four big sustainability policy areas that are internally divided into four Working Groups: chemicals, eco-design, waste and responsible business conduct. Working Groups focus on technical ICT product compliance topics in the field of sustainability (EU regulatory product policy framework). To support colleagues working in these areas, we are looking for a full-time Policy Officer (permanent contract).

You will join a dynamic, diverse, fun, and respectful international work environment with opportunities to further grow and develop.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Together with other colleagues, coordinate the daily work of the Working Groups;
  • Drive consensus in the group and support in the development of position papers and other materials, including research and analysis;
  • Monitor EU and national policy developments of relevance;
  • Prepare and implement outreach and communication activities, build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Master level University education with first work experience in EU affairs, preferably in environmental policy;
  • Has an interest in technical product compliance and governance;
  • Knowledge of the EU decision-making processes and key stakeholders;
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken – other languages are an asset;
  • A proven track record of drafting positions papers, articles and speeches;
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and deadlines;
  • Strong integrity and the ability to prioritize and focus;
  • Self-driven and organised;
  • Flawless in administration;
  • Familiarity with ICT/digital sector is an asset.
