ENAR is recruiting an Advocacy Officer to join its team in Brussels.

The European Network Against Racism (ENAR aisbl) is the only pan-European anti-racism network that combines advocacy for racial equality and facilitating cooperation among civil society anti-racism actors in Europe. Our mission is to achieve full equality, solidarity and well-being for all in Europe. We want to allow all members of society, whatever their skin colour, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation, to participate and be included in society. We specifically work to combat racism and discrimination based on colour, ethnicity, national origin, nationality, religion, culture, language or legal status. We envision a vibrant and inclusive society and economy that embrace equality and diversity and the benefits of a racism-free Europe. Our staff is based in our Secretariat in Brussels and our member organisations work in all EU countries.

ENAR’s Equal@work Platform

Everybody wants a decent, well-paid and quality job. If you’re Black, Roma, Muslim, or a migrant from a non-EU living country living in Europe, discrimination is a major obstacle when looking for a job and when being in a job.

This is why ENAR aisbl launched in 2009 the pioneering Equal@work Platform. It brings together businesses, social partners, NGO’s, public authorities and academics committed to diversity and inclusion (D&I), to find solutions so that ethnic and religious minorities can fully participate in the labour market. These actors share best practices, explore innovative dimensions and engage in a constructive dialogue and co-creation to increase the recruitment, retention and career progression of ethnic minorities and migrants and to develop creative and cutting-edge approaches to D&I making solid business sense.

ENAR aisbl is recruiting an Advocacy Officer (AO) to serve as a strategic policy expert and trainer in the field of anti-racism and non-discrimination and in particular on D&I at the workplace. The candidate will have experience of working with private and public employers, civil society on non-discrimination and inclusion policies, demonstrated advocacy and training experience and commitment to race equality. The AO reports to the Director. The position does not require line management duties beyond guiding interns, if applicable.

ENAR aisbl offers a 1-year full-time position based in Brussels. The gross salary is € 3,189.26 per month plus benefits.
