We are looking for a team player who can build trusted partnerships with stakeholders in the EU community and deliver high impact EU advocacy outcomes.

You will be:

  • Supporting the implementation of integrated public affairs and communications with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement across issues of relevance to Cosmetics Europe (specifically in relation to the European Green Deal);
  • Executing on the EU Affairs policy advocacy strategies and campaigns to support Cosmetics Europe’s goals;
  • Working with politicians, policymakers and non-governmental organizations and other EU

stakeholders to build and maintain trusted relations and partnerships;

  • Supporting the Cosmetics Europe network of national associations in advocacy activities on EU issues;
  • Supporting effective internal member communications and helping to drive activities and coordinate the PA experts including regular meetings and conference calls.

You have a:

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in public affairs including in either in a European institution (ideally having worked with or in the European Parliament) in corporation, consultancy or trade association environment;
  • Clear understanding of best practice advocacy and stakeholder engagement;
  • Experience of addressing issues related to the European Green Deal;
  • Strong understanding and experience of the EU stakeholder environment and EU policymaking processes and key issues impacting the Cosmetics sector
  • Strong advocacy, communication (verbally and in written) and interpersonal skills, extensive experience of relationship-building and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent track record of stakeholder engagement capabilities on complex projects
  • An ability to operate in complex, cross-functional teams from a wide range of disciplines
  • High personal accountability and integrity combined with the ability and experience to communicate to shape policy and decision-making at a senior and strategic level
  • Collaborative working style, high commitment and motivation;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (working knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage);
  • Work permit for the European Union.
