  • We are looking for an ICT Officer to be responsible for the security of corporate ICT systems. The jobholder will report directly to the Head or to the Deputy Head of the Information and Communication Systems and Facility Management (ITF).

The tasks of the jobholder shall, in particular but not exclusively, include the following:

  • Prepare secure baseline configurations for Microsoft systems and network devices and ensure their correct application;
  • Participate in ICT projects as ICT security subject matter expert with emphasis on Microsoft technology (on premise technologies and also cloud M365 and Azure);
  • Contribute to the planning, implementing and maintaining of the security measures to protect EUSPA ICT systems, networks and data on all security classification levels from EU Unclassified to EU SECRET;
  • Prepare and ensure the proper configuration and management of ICT security equipment (firewalls, VPN, encryption, SIEM system, tokens, certificates, etc.) including event logging and log analysis;
  • Act as the main POC with CERT-EU for the management of log analysis;
  • Ensure the maintenance, development and provision of the ICT security documentation;
  • Ensure proper monitoring, alerting and reporting on ICT Security equipment;
  • Provide protection of EUSPA ICT Systems from external threats like virus spreading, hacking or denial of service attacks and provide an appropriate response;
  • Ensure the compliance of EUSPA ICT systems for processing of both classified and unclassified information with the applicable regulations, prepare documentation for accreditation and support the routine operations of relevant systems under ICT department;
  • Contribute to the development of ICT systems to improve the ICT security within the EUSPA, taking part in drafting relevant policies, standards and procedures;
  • Contribute to the development of ICT Disaster Recovery Plan and provide its testing and maintenance;
  • Act as contract manager or contract owner of assigned contracts;
  • Liaise with other departments, notably in the area of Administration, to ensure the execution of related corporate tasks, such as planning, reporting, administration, financial & budget management, risk management.

Professional experience and expertise

  • Experience in management of ICT systems for processing non-sensitive and sensitive information (at least 3 years of proven experience as system administrator of Microsoft systems);
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows server platforms;
  • Experience in configuration and management of ICT security equipment (firewalls, VPN, encryption, SIEM system, tokens, certificates, etc.) including event logging and log analysis;
  • Experience in security hardening of ICT systems (preferably Microsoft based);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies (M365, Azure);
  • Knowledge of information system accreditation process and risk management frameworks;
  • Experience in working in international environment;
  • Experience in public procurement, financial and contract management;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English;
