Planning Officer (Location: Athens)
Job Description
The Planning Officer works under the supervision of EASO, in performing some or all of the following tasks:
- Support in project management of various activities of the EASO Operations;
- Support and follow up activities regarding needs assessment and planning of operations and projects;
- Contribute to the establishment of monitoring and reporting systems and tools for operations and projects;
- Follow up the implementation of operations and projects and ensure proper reporting of the activities;
- Follow up the project management cycle and contribute to all relevant activities;
- Draft and develop project documents, project reports, specific reports and other documents;
- Attend and/or organise regular meetings internally and with stakeholders, as requested;
- Provide regular analytical reports and statistics of provided services and challenges;
- Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports;
- Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile.
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Demonstrated previous experience in relevant tasks and in particular in planning, project management and reporting for international operations/projects is required;
- Field experience in the migration and asylum context will be an advantage;
- Fluency in English (oral and written);
- Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web-based applications;
- Excellent intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
- Very good organisational skills and management skills;
- Analytical skills and ability to work as a member of team.
Education & Experience
- University degree is required;
- Post-graduate degree will be an advantage;
