Responsibilities
- Acting as the main focal point between the amfori main office, Networks and the amfori governance bodies;
- Facilitating communication, and ensuring timely and effective share of information between the amfori main office, the governance bodies and the membership;
- Ensure efficient organization of the annual General Assembly, Board, amfori MAC and SAC/amfori MAC-Networks (including preparation of agendas, minutes taking and follow-up on action points);
- Coordinate the recruitment and selection process of members of the amfori governance;
- Oversee all other amfori governance meetings;
- Acting as the reference point for all questions regarding the amfori governance;
- Coordiante the inputs from the amfori governance bodies to the development of amfori strategy and operations;
- Assess and propose improvements to governance processes;
- Coordinating the amfori governance calendar and the amfori decisions tracker;
- Build and maintaint a contact database of amfori governance contacts;
- Managing the governance budget;
- Acting as liaison point for all contract and legal matters, collecting internal questions and obtaining legal advice from the amfori partners as appropriate.
Challenges
- Ensuring a participatory and transparent governance, enabling members and stakeholders to contribute to the strategy and operational development of amfori;
- Ensuring the implementation of the amfori by-laws and internal rules, assessment, and review when needed;
- Disseminating the governance-related information on progresses within the amfori secretariat, governance bodies, and the entire membership;
- Overseeing the implementation of the amfori legal obligations vis-à-vis Belgian authorities as well as its partners and suppliers.

Experience
- Master degree level in legal studies or an equivalent relevant area;
- Minimum 5 years expertise;
- Previous experience in an international/European association is a plus;
- Proven success in building strong and impactful relations with a wide range of stakeholders;
- Knowledge of sustainability is an asset;
- Knowledge of business and supply chains is an asset;
- Excellent proficiency of English; other languages are a plus;
- Excellent writing, presentation and analytical skills;
- Good mastery of Microsoft Office. Ability to work with Digital environment with specific IT tools;
- Well organized, solution oriented, able to manage/comply with strict procedures/deadlines and you are not afraid of administrative work. Stress resistant and flexible.
