Its main functions will be to:

  • Monitor the European Commission’s regulatory initiatives and identify emerging trends and issues, particularly in the areas of Environmental issues: Climate change, air, water, waste and emissions and Sustainability.
  • Provide thorough analysis of developments and their impacts for Copa-Cogeca members and develop Copa-Cogeca positions.
  • Organise and coordinate the respective Copa-Cogeca Working Party.
  • Develop, in collaboration with members, Copa-Cogeca’s lobbying activities to influence the EU institutions and external partners.
  • Develop networking with the member organisations of Copa, Cogeca and other European organisations.
  • Report to the team’s Director and be capable of working in a multicultural team.

Profile:

  • University degree (B.Sc or M.Sc) in agronomy, environmental science, biology or related areas.
  • A strong understanding of the CAP as well as Environmental issues Policies.
  • Professional experience in agriculture at European level and/or in other EC Institutions is an advantage.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English and French are required. Other European Union language(s) are an advantage.
  • Very good sense of team spirit.
  • Strong analytical skills and efficient communicator.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office applications and modern communication tools.
