POLITICO’s Events department seeks a smart, creative and proactive candidate to join its fast-paced team, as it launches its series of PI Executive Workshops in Brussels and other major European capitals.

The Workshops Project Manager will be in charge of planning, coordinating and managing high-profile Executive Workshops, working closely with POLITICO’s Intelligence Consultant to ensure the programs of the workshops are compelling.

The PI Executive Workshops Project Manager will report to the Executive Director of Events and interact with colleagues from a wide range of departments across the company, including Editorial, Sales and Marketing.

Job Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have 2-4 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate also has an in-depth understanding of European institutions and the key stakeholders in the EU.

Candidates must have excellent writing skills in English, a propensity to think creatively, the ability to work to tight deadlines and to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Key areas of responsibility include

Programming and managing

In the role you would be expected to:

• Contribute to the preparation of content for the executive workshop’s programs;
• Liaise with the newsroom and identify the most suitable candidate for each session;
• Manage the yearly planning;
• Research new topics and gather market feedback;
• Set up and lead pre-event briefing;
• Oversee internal communication on participants lists and timings;
• Oversee pre and post event communication to participants;
• Keep on top of market developments Marketing and participants tracking:

Logistics

• Implement and execute processes for a smooth running of the executive workshops on the day;
• Prepare notes and detailed agenda for the Intelligence Consultant;
• Book venue;
• Arrange catering, hostesses and other providers;
• Coordinate room set up;
• Oversee preparation of workshop materials.
