Job Description

The Competition/Antitrust group offers co-ordinated global competition expertise and represents client before the European Courts across a wide range of sectors.

Linklaters is looking for a Paralegal to support the Competition/Antitrust practice (6-month contract, with the possibility of renewing the contract) starting as soon as possible. The role will be based in Brussels.

The following are examples of tasks that the role will involve:

  • Preparing, organizing, and filing documents and correspondence;
  • Reviewing client information to ensure accuracy, analysing issues and drafting memos;
  • Conducting legal research from a variety of sources;
  • Translations.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required

Skills required:

  • Solid academic credentials;
  • Excellent English language skills required, Spanish and/or French is an asset;
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask;
  • Outstanding research skills and an analytical mindset;
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent IT skills;
  • A strong sense of commercial understanding and team-working skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in law. A post graduate degree in competition law and/or European studies is an asset.

Experience:

We are looking for an individual with experience in international professional services and the ability to work in a fast paced multi-cultural environment.

Experience in a similar role is an asset.
