Eastern Neighbourhood Correspondent

Euractiv is an independent pan-European media network specialising in EU policies. Our primary goal is to foster policy debates among EU stakeholders, including governments, businesses, and civil society groups. To strengthen our team, Euractiv is currently recruiting:

an Eastern Neighbourhood Correspondent

Euractiv correspondents:

  • Part-time freelance position (1 bimonthly article = 1 article every 2 months)
  • Country-specific knowledge required - you will cover 1 of the eastern neighbourhood countries (Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus).
  • You will cover foreign interference in the Eastern European Countries, specifically Russian propaganda, touching various sub-topics, such as migration, energy, security, agriculture.

Main tasks and responsibilities will include

  • Provide one analytical article/interview every other month, starting January.
  • Collaborate with other journalists on cross-border articles
  • Monitor issues on a national level
  • Preferably located in the country concerned

Job requirements / profile

  • Strong understanding of the spread/topics/effects of misinformation in your country.
  • General knowledge on a wide range of subtopics such as migration, energy, security, agriculture.
  • Good network of local/national health policy-related stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
