MGR Human Resources Ltd, member of MAP S.Platis Group of Companies, is a leading, broad HR Consulting, Training, Recruitment and Temporary Placements Agency. We are looking to hire a Dublin Procedure Assistant for the European Union Agency for Asylum to be based in Malta.

The position

The successful candidate will work on a secondment basis for the awarded contract for the Provision of Interim Services to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). EUAA is an EU Regulatory Agency headquartered in Malta whose mandate is to strengthen EU Member States’ practical cooperation on asylum, to support Member States whose asylum systems are under particular pressure and to enhance the implementation of the Common European Asylum System.

Responsibilities:

The Dublin Procedure Assistant will be working in the Dublin Unit and will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Determining whether all newly lodged applications can potentially undergo a Dublin procedure
  • Supporting in the processing of Dublin cases, analyze, gather information and prepare files for outgoing and/or incoming requests under the supervision of the Maltese Authorities;
  • Ensuring the completion of the required documents and processes necessary for finalising a Dublin case, including case-follow up;
  • Supporting the preparation of the transfers and organizing the outgoing transfer of applicants to the responsible Member States;
  • Supporting in the provision of information to third-country nationals on the provisions of the Dublin Regulation;
  • Ensuring that all family members accompanying the applicant are accounted for, and making sure that family members are linked to one another in the system;
  • Preparing and sending requests with all required documents attached to the determined Member States via DubliNet under the supervision of the Maltese Authorities;
  • Processing cases, where there are family members in another Member State, according to the Dublin Regulation;
  • Drafting of appeal submissions in accordance with Dublin Regulation;
  • Draft documents, templates, statistics, minutes and reports;
  • Provide regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services and challenges;
  • Support in administrative tasks of the unit, including case-management;
  • Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile

Minimum Selection Criteria

  • Post-secondary education attested by a diploma,
  • OR Secondary education attested by a  diploma  giving  access  to  post-secondary education and appropriate professional experience of at least one year;
  • Thorough Knowledge of English (level C1 in all dimensions as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or CEFRL);
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office Suite, use of internet and web-based applications;

Required skills

  • Excellent intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;

Remuneration

The position falls in hierarchical Category III and the associated salary is €31,999.32 gross annually in twelve monthly installments.
