MGR Human Resources Ltd, member of MAP S.Platis Group of Companies, is a leading, broad HR Consulting, Training, Recruitment and Temporary Placements Agency. We are looking to hire a Grants and Procurement Administrator for the European Union Agency for Asylum to be based in Malta.

The position

The successful candidate will work on a secondment basis for the awarded contract for the Provision of Interim Services to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). EUAA is an EU Regulatory Agency headquartered in Malta whose mandate is to strengthen EU Member States’ practical cooperation on asylum, to support Member States whose asylum systems are under particular pressure and to enhance the implementation of the Common European Asylum System.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to development and correct application of the EUAA’s grants procedures, templates and grant agreement implementation;
  • Providing advice and support regarding grants in the context of the EU Financial Regulation;
  • In the field of procurement and in particular in the field of grants, at any time ensuring compliance with the relevant rules, regulations, guidelines, internal control standards as well as with sound financial management;
  • Preparation of grants/public procurement documents in cooperation with the requesting teams;
  • Provision of advice and support at any stage of grants/procurement procedure as well as grant/contract management;
  • Drafting and preparing grants, contracts, specific contracts/order forms;
  • Contributing to development and correct application of the EUAA’s procurement and contract management procedures;
  • Performing any other related tasks upon request of the Head of Sector.

Selection criteria:

Minimum Qualification

Completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.

Skills:

Proficiency in written and spoken English

Ability to observe high confidentiality

Good communication skills

Able to work in a proactive, organized and to prioritize activities

Ability to work within a team

Required experience:

Essential criterion:

  • Post university experience in grants in the context of the European Union Financial Regulation, relevant to the job description.

 Advantageous criterion:

  • Post university experience in public procurement in the context of the European Union Financial Regulation, relevant to the job description.

Remuneration

The position falls in hierarchical Category IV and the associated salary is €40,963.92 gross annually in twelve monthly installments.
