MGR Human Resources Ltd, member of MAP S.Platis Group of Companies, is a leading, broad HR Consulting, Training, Recruitment and Temporary Placements Agency. We are looking to hire a Financial Assistant for the European Union Agency for Asylum to be based inMalta.

The position

The successful candidate will work on a secondment basis for the awarded contract for the Provision of Interim Services to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). EUAA is an EU Regulatory Agency headquartered in Malta whose mandate is to strengthen EU Member States’ practical cooperation on asylum, to support Member States whose asylum systems are under particular pressure and to enhance the implementation of the Common European Asylum System.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records and check transactions; Maintain financial project files and records, archive financial/administrative related project documentation
• Support for contract implementation and monitoring of the travel agency FWC
• Support EASO staff in processing all financial transactions by acting as Data Entry Agent in ABAC and Paperless, EUAA’s financial and administrative tools, for invoices, cost claims, missions, VAT exemption certificates and reimbursements
• Check completeness of financial files, including supporting documents attached to claims, invoices and requests for payments
• Support with audit tasks (incl. preparations and follow-up of annual audits)
• Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile

Requirements

• The candidate should be proficient in the use of Office package (or equivalent) and in particular with Spreadsheets, Word documents, presentations
• The candidate should have the right attitude for working in team and in delivering to clients
• Knowledge of financial and/or mission management systems would be a plus
• Fluent English essential
• Minimum educational requirements 
• Post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR Secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education and appropriate professional experience of at least one year

Remuneration

The position falls in hierarchical Category III and the associated salary is €31,928.64 gross annually in twelve monthly installments.
