We are looking for an Intern to join a vibrant Advocacy and Messaging team in a passionate lobby organisation. He/she will support the development of compelling political messages and outreach plans to advance the industry priorities towards key audiences. He/she will report to the Director of Advocacy and Messaging within the Policy Division.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the development of compelling political messages and narratives that help WindEurope and its members to advocate and communicate effectively on the industry priorities;
- Support the development and execution of strategic outreach plans for different audiences to ensure that wind industry messages reach key decision makers and stakeholders;
- Propose new and innovative ways for impactful communication through a variety of tools including digital channels, social and traditional media, and other platforms, that optimise WindEurope's outreach;
- Draft briefings, speeches, talking points and presentations for WindEurope’s Management;
- Carry out media monitoring and research;
- Support the organisation of external events and participate in them to disseminate WindEurope's messages to relevant audiences;
- Perform other communications related duties as assigned.

- Creativity and willingness to learn and innovate;
- Understanding of EU policy making processes and knowledge of wind energy are a plus;
- Experience in using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Education:
- Bachelor or equivalent in communications, political science, marketing or related field; and
- Strong interest in renewable energy and/or energy policy and public affairs is an asset.
Languages:
- English (fluent written and verbal) is mandatory;
- Other languages are an asset.
