WindEurope is the European Wind Energy Association actively promoting the utilisation of wind power in Europe and worldwide.

We are looking for an analyst in digitalisation to lead WindEurope’s activities in wind energy digitalisation and cybersecurity.

In the role of WindEurope’s Digitalisation Analyst, your main responsibilities will be to:

Project management:

  • Coordinate WindEurope’s Wind Energy Data Standard project including technical content;
  • Coordinate experts’ groups on digitalisation and cybersecurity from WindEurope’s company members and exchanges with external relevant players;
  • Coordinate the dissemination of project results within WindEurope’s members and external network; and
  • Manage the implementation of the assigned projects to ensure timely and high-level delivery of the deliverables.

Technology and market intelligence:

  • Lead WindEurope’s market Intelligence on topics about digitalisation and cybersecurity such as the drafting of publications, assessment of regulatory developments;
  • Lead WindEurope’s activity regarding policy and regulation for energy sector digitalisation and cybersecurity;
  • Work in close collaboration with WindEurope’s company members and external network, national associations and other stakeholders to prioritise challenges and opportunities and deliver an annual work programme of activities related to digitalisation and cybersecurity;
  • Support the publications of reports, internal briefings, interactive data tools, presentations;
  • Support WindEurope’s membership development on the topics of digitalisation and cybersecurity.

Advocacy:

  • Develop and maintain an extensive advocacy network across the EU institutions, national authorities, international organisations and other stakeholders relevant to this role;
  • Formulate policy recommendations for decision makers to improve political and legal frameworks relevant to energy sector digitalisation and cybersecurity, especially at EU-level;
  • Write policy positions papers, reports, presentations and general materials relevant to wind energy digitalisation and cybersecurity;
  • Participate in external events and perform presentations to promote and disseminate WindEurope's messages to external audiences;
  • Participate and actively contribute to WindEurope events;
  • Answer external stakeholders’ queries relevant to wind energy digitalisation and cybersecurity, policies and other wind energy related topics or WindEurope work.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in science or engineering;
  • Candidates with wind energy background will be prioritised;
  • Knowledge on standardisation and data exchange in the energy sector is an asset.

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the energy sector, involving the collection and analysis of data and writing technical reports;
  • At least 2-3 years of experience with the coordination of multiple-stakeholder groups, including industry and policy makers;
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in project management.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Good technical knowledge on wind energy and/or the power grid;
  • Good understanding on standardisation processes and data exchange protocols;
  • Analytical skills, rational and strategic approach;
  • Ability to manage complex organisational and political relationships;
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills;
  • To enjoy meeting new people and building a network of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Problem solving attitude;
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines;
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize;
  • Thrives in a multicultural and international environment;
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as independently;
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook, website management, internet search engines).

Languages:

  • English (fluent written and verbal) is mandatory;
  • Other languages are an asset to deal with external technical experts, subcontractors and members.
