EuroFIR AISBL is responsible for several websites, developed for past and present EU-funded projects, as well as the Association’s website, based on WordPress. We are looking for a WordPress developer to update these websites, working with the Communications and IT Solutions Managers.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the European Union.

This role will include the following tasks:

1. Audit existing technical provision and content including performance metrics

2. Draft and agree websites update plan with Communications and IT Solutions Managers

3. Undertake updates ensuring that:

Brand identity is consistent
Existing technical performance is enhanced
Pages are optimised for user experience
Performance measured, so data can be tracked for goal setting and reporting
Visitors mapped to support exchange with target customers

Potential candidates must speak English as well as any other of the official European languages and have demonstrable communications skills with non-technical staff and attention to detail.

Required education and experience

Technical knowledge of developing websites in WordPress including custom themes and plugins
Capable of delivering activities independently
C1/C2 in English (written and spoken)
Willing to work with virtual teams
Able to work flexibly, as required

Duration of the contract: immediately (hours to be agreed, subject to status)

Type of contract: Independent WordPress developer or internship Remuneration (excluding VAT):

Independent WordPress developer - €45 per hour (not greater than €5100 in total);
internship €850 per month plus meal vouchers and public transport (non-negotiable)
