About the role
The French office of the European Climate foundation is accepting applications for a student to join their strategic communications team (3 people). The intern will be doing mostly strategic digital work to push climate’s agenda in France, supporting the needs of the ECF, its grantees and partner organizations.
Key responsibilities
- Helping to devise, implement and analyse communication projects and strategies for climate in France with partner organizations, activist and influencer networks
- Helping with a cycle of digital strategy trainings for partners
- Monitoring the media and online discussions on climate (social listening)
- Supporting the Strategic Communications team in its traditional media activities: writing to French journalists on climate news (based on English-language press releases), improving our lists and emailing systems
Ad-hoc research work
Experience and competencies
- You are in your Master’s years with an expertise in digital communications or political science. A first experience in one of these fields is a plus.
- A good understanding of the workings of social media
- Enthusiasm to help reframe the public debate around the issues of climate change and a willingness to try out new things (online grassroots mobilization, coaching influencers, running ads campaigns, etc.)
- A taste for digital tools and making systems work (a passion for sheets, Google suite, Airtable and emailing systems is a plus)
- Team player & willingness to take initiative & a certain degree of autonomy
- An understanding of confidentiality
- Excellent French, great working English
