The European Cancer Organisation is looking for an ambitious, energetic and enthusiastic Intern to join our Policy and advocacy team in Brussels. The successful candidate will be supporting the team on policy, monitoring and lobbying activity during an exciting period for EU cancer policy in the context of the developing EU Cancer Mission and European Beating Cancer Plan. The working language at European Cancer Organisation is English.
The intern will be responsible for helping the European Cancer Organisation keep track of all relevant political and regulatory developments of impact to the cancer community. Sources of such developments include the European Commission, European Parliament, EU agencies, other primary stakeholder organisations, and international bodies such as WHO and IARC. The intern will need to read, digest, and neatly summarise developments in order that persons within the European Cancer Organisation, and its membership and community, can be rapidly and concisely informed.
The intern will assist in the continual development of the European Cancer Organisation’s stakeholder databases and in the planning and organising of high impact policy events. This will include provision of support to the Networks of the European Cancer Organisation.
During the internship period, the intern will be delegated responsibilities in respect to both delivery of the European Cancer Organisation project milestones as well as bespoke research requests.
