Main responsibilities

  • Capable of representing Hydrogen Europe in external events/meetings.
  • Capable of leading discussions in task forces and working groups on complex topics.
  • Comfortable speaking in public.
  • Assist in planning and execution of advocacy activities.
  • Coordinating working groups.
  • Communicating internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years work experience in European affairs and/or the energy sector.
  • Masters degree in social sciences (e.g. EU studies, international relations), engineering or other related energy topics.
  • In-depth knowledge of European energy and climate policies and capability to understand technical subjects.
  • Solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the hydrogen sector.
  • Relevant professional experience and responsibilities in dealing with EU energy policy and institutions, with a track record of significant achievements, such that you can formulate strategic solutions to complex issues.
  • Proven track record in European affairs, advocacy and communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of the workings of the EU institutions and EU legislative process.
  • Strong network (political and in the energy ecosystem) at EU/Brussels level, a track record in successful relationship building and political influencing, and a willingness to dedicate time and effort to broadening and deepening those networks.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the issues, and motivations and of key actors and institutions.
  • Understanding of the issues, and motivations of key actors and institutions.
  • Influencing the debate at a high level through persuasive engagement, presentations, writing, social media, as appropriate.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of other European languages an asset.
  • Self-starter, team player, can-do attitude.
