Things I liked most:
It has been an absolutely amazing experience. Acumen is full of incredibly talented, creative, and fun people. The Management is amazing, and is always there to give you feedback and to mentor you, yet at the same time is always asking you to give feedback back. As a Trainee (first), and Consultant (after) I was immediately given client facing tasks with a lot of responsibilities, allowing me to grow a lot and learn something new every day. Finally, regarding the environment, the atmosphere at Acumen allows you to truly be yourself, making you feel that you 'belong'. I haven't heard of a better workplace to date.
Things could have been better:
If I had to give feedback last year, I would've said "a Better Coffee Machine" - but that was recently fixed (showing that they also take constructive feedback onboard).
Things I liked most:
Very positive - Good introduction to European Affairs, continuous feedback from supervisors, involvement in all steps of a project, external meetings. Great networking opportunities.
Things I liked most:
An excellent internship, in some ways more akin to a grad scheme in that you are rotated between different clients and different kinds of work. A hugely positive and enthusiastic working environment. Space for career progression given the right attributes. A respected company on the Brussels scene.
Things I liked most:
My internship was a very positive experience as I've learned a lot about various policy areas, had the opportunity to lead projects and got exposure to clients. The working atmosphere was very positive, and I was clearly briefed on my responsibilities and how to achieve them. Highly recommended.
Things I liked most:
genuine international environment where I felt at home and was surrounded by colleagues passionate about their work. Sense of belonging and responsibility was truly an asset at acumen
Things could have been better:
more developed schemes with university students
