Focus
For a variety for international and dynamic projects in research and other fields involving dialogue processes with citizens & stakeholders (including e.g. Excess, Go-Grass, Secreets, Varcities a.o.), Prospex Institute searches for an experienced consultant.
Your task is to
- Contribute to projects through engagement of diverse stakeholders (from government, business, research to civil society and citizens) on societally relevant issues in Europe and beyond:
- Identify stakeholder groups and perform stakeholder mapping, articulate a strategy on how to engage with specific groups, mindful of concerns around diversity and inclusivity;
- Perform research on a variety of topics and work them into materials usable in stakeholder and citizen engagement;
- Contribute to the design of participatory processes;
- Facilitating and co-facilitating engagement processes, including multi-stakeholder, analog, digital and hybrid ones;
- Perform analyses of these dialogue processes and outcomes;
- Drafting of reports, documentation, articles, papers, publications in flawless English and Dutch, etc.
- Develop strategies, proposals of courses for action and implementation planning; support implementation and change processes; also in short term projects;
- Perform project coordination, project planning, organisation and implementation of projects and processes;
- Conduct further tasks:
- Build networks and alliances, contribute to proposals, communication activities;
- Guide trainees and junior consultants in their activities;
- Participate in project meetings and events across Europe.
You are or have the following
Qualification and experience
- An adequate academic qualification (minimum: Master’s degree) in a relevant field;
- Relevant work experience: minimum of 5 years.
Professional skills
- Excellent research and analytical skills, applied to strategic, engagement and decision-making processes;
- Proven ability to contribute to the design, organization and implementation of engagement processes;
- Demonstrated moderation/facilitation skills;
- Very good drafting skills;
- Very good organizational and project management skills;
- Ability to provide consultancy in time-sensitive, short assignments.
Background and knowledge
- Significant knowledge in and across one or several of the following areas: stakeholder engagement; foresight, strategy & innovation, transition, behavioral change and other relevant methodologies;
- Background in circular economy and business-related and market assessment experience an asset.
Basics
- Demonstrated open-minded and pro-active, respectful and user-/customer-friendly attitude to engaging with diverse individuals and groups;
- An excellent command of English and Dutch; other languages an asset (e.g. Italian, Spanish, Nordic and Eastern European languages);
- Familiar with the Belgian and Dutch-speaking environment;
- Willing to travel frequently, also internationally, between 1 day and several days per month (Corona situation allowing).
