JOB ADVERT – REMUNERATED TRAINEESHIP – CONSERVATION POLICY ASSISTANT
The FACE Team in Brussels is looking for a Conservation Policy Assistant to join its small and dynamic team.
FACE has a long involvement in EU nature and biodiversity policy formulation and implementation, with focus on conservation of migratory birds and promoting sustainable use. With the expansion of this sector, FACE is enhancing its activities on policies including migratory birds, biodiversity and wildlife management.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, confident and professional. He/she should have some experience in project management, a background in environmental sciences, biology, forestry or similar and be quick to learn in new areas.
He/she should be passionate about the work we do at FACE and willing to work hard to increase our capacities to monitor and contribute to improving knowledge of status of game species.
Location: Brussels
Terms: Full-time remunerated Traineeship: 6 months fixed-term, with potential to increase
Reports to: Senior Conservation Manager

Responsibility: Assisting in gathering and analysing information on topics including, migratory birds, the FACE Biodiversity Manifesto and other relevant areas, gaining understanding of the various EU legislative texts, and preparing reports.
Key Relationships: All internal staff, FACE Members’ staff in 37 countries and FACE partners from regional to European level (NGOs and stakeholder organisations representing the rural and nature conservation sectors; academia; and the public sector).
Responsibility: Assisting in gathering and analysing information on topic of migratory birds, the FACE Biodiversity Manifesto and other relevant areas, gaining understanding of the various legislative documents in the EU, and preparing reports.
