EARS is a recruitment and talent management firm exclusively focused on public affairs. We connect employers with talent, and people with opportunity. Together, we build people into leaders - inspiring them to learn, grow and develop to their full potential.

We’re currently undergoing a re-brand with a new company name, website, blog and newsletter service that will grow our business beyond Brussels to political capitals around the world. We need a pro communicator to share about all this exciting change in ways that inform, resonate, inspire and engage.

We’re seeking candidates who truly enjoy the art of communication – from wordsmithing social posts and drafting articles to selecting visuals and curating videos. Pro digital and social skills are a must along with a track-record in public affairs.

Candidates must also be able to conceptualise and lead events to support our rebrand and overall business growth. As an entrepreneurial firm with a start-up culture, we’re seeking a motivated “doer” who isn’t afraid of a challenge and is target driven.

The role

  • Develop and execute a strategy to communicate about our re-brand and expanded services on an international scale;
  • Independently produce content in English, including newsletter articles, blog posts, social media posts, web copy and more;
  • Grow our presence on digital and social channels, establishing our unique position and differentiating us from competitor firms;
  • Develop mutually beneficial partnerships with media and influencers in public affairs to enhance our reputation with jobseekers and employers;
  • Conceptualise and lead events to support our rebrand and overall business growth;
  • Manage creative/digital consultants and editorial contributions when needed;
  • Recruit and manage interns as needed.

The requirements

  • Advanced degree in a relevant subject area (journalism, communications, marketing, digital advertising, public affairs etc.);
  • Track-record as a communicator/marketer in an international recruitment firm or in public affairs (in-house or in-agency) ideally with a network that includes journalists, politicos and influencers;
  • Record of achievement as a “doer” who can lead and communicate change and organise events that make waves;
  • Enjoys the art of communication and thrives with digital and social challenges;
  • Native-level English, other European languages a plus.

The benefits

  • Act as the company’s leader on communications and events;
  • Competitive salary and benefits with a performance-based bonus;
  • Own a rebrand and grow a business within a supportive entrepreneurial team open to new ideas and creative approaches;
  • Work and grow alongside some of Europe’s most connected public affairs professionals;
  • Engage with influential clients from international associations and multinationals to think tanks, law firms and consultancies at the highest levels.
