This is an exciting new position at ECL. The Communications and PR Officer is expected to provide communication for all areas of work at the ECL Secretariat.
Communications:
- Develop and implement communications strategy of ECL (including a special dedicated strategy for the European Week Against Cancer [EWAC]);
- Responsible for social media channels and website;
- Disseminate ECL’s monthly newsletters;
- Support policy outreach (dissemination and promotion of publications to EU institutions including Meps Against Cancer [MAC], WHO, stakeholders, national authorities, NGOs, patient organisations, industry etc.);
- Design internal (annual meeting meetings, annual reports etc.), external publications and communications materials e.g., leaflets, posters, social media posts;
- Promote ECL externally (stakeholders) and internally (members);
- Responsible for relationship development with ECL members;
- Provide support for administrative duties as needed, including event planning, Board administration support, and liaising with external funders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree;
- At least two years’ experience in advocacy and/or communications;
- Familiar with EU landscape;
- Can work independently;
- Fully fluent in English, other EU languages a plus;
- Experience with website editing (i.e., WordPress) designing software (e.g. Photoshop);
- Excellent social media skills;
- Organised and attention to detail;
- Authorised to work in Belgium.
Terms of Employment: Salary offered will commensurate with experience. Colleague will split time between office in 1030 Brussels and on Rue Belliard.
