The European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA), based in Brussels, is looking for an Economist (m/f) to reinforce its Research Team.

EFAMA is the voice of the European investment management industry. Its membership consists of 28 national associations, 59 corporate members and 22 Associate members. More information about EFAMA can be found at www.efama.org.

Key Responsibilities

You will be part of the team in charge of EFAMA’s statistical, research and pensions-related work.

This team is responsible for:

  • collecting and analyzing statistical data to produce regular or ad hoc publications, such as EFAMA’s Fact Book, Asset Management Report, Fund Ownership Report, Quarterly Statistical Releases, Monthly Fact Sheets, etc.;
  • carrying out evidence-based research activities to support the association’s advocacy work;
  • leveraging the members’ expertise in the research space;
  • developing EFAMA’s positions in the area of pensions and retirement savings.

Your role will consist in:

  • identifying market trends and reporting thereon;
  • leading on specific research projects/publications;
  • taking part in various research activities;
  • supporting the work of EFAMA’s Pensions Standing Committee.

Requirements

  • University degree in economics, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • First professional experience in the field of economic research;
  • Ability to quickly absorb and synthesize complex information;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, result-oriented, creative and enthusiastic;
  • Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent English drafting skills is an absolute must;
  • An understanding of the investment management industry would be a distinct advantage.
