We’re currently looking for a smart, curious, and talented candidate with Technology Media Telecommunications (TMT) policies knowledge to join the Public Affairs team in Brussels for a 6-month paid traineeship starting at the beginning of November 2019.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Supporting team’s responses to clients’ requests, contributing to the development and execution of public affairs strategies;
  • Working closely with the account leads and the team, providing media and policy monitoring, background research and analysis, and supporting in the production of materials for clients;
  • Assisting in implementation of thought leadership campaigns, outreach programmes and organisation of events;
  • Contributing to the TMT team’s marketing and business development efforts, including feeding into the Weber Shandwick’s Issues Decoded policy blog.

PROFILE

We are looking for an individual that:

  • is hardworking, proactive and dynamic – and ready to learn fast;
  • has a good understanding of the EU policy and decision-making processes – previous experience within an EU institution or consultancy is a plus;
  • has a specific interest and background in TMT policy;
  • has strong analytical and writing skills, with a demonstrable ability to research and analyse policies;
  • has professional fluency in English – knowledge of other EU languages is a plus;
  • has a strong business acumen;
  • prior knowledge of social media communication tools is an asset.
