ECCO is a Brussels-based independent consultancy specialised in EU food policy and the management of trade associations in the food sector.

We are currently looking for a dynamic Junior Food Regulatory/Scientific Adviser for a fixed term contract of 12 months, with possibility to renew, to support our team of senior food experts in the management of technical and regulatory issues.

The successful candidate will:

• have good academic qualifications in food science (technology, nutrition, safety...) and/or EU food law;
• have a keen interest in the food ingredient sector and be ready to take on a challenge;
• have excellent analytical, organisational and written & verbal communication skills and a quick mindset;
• be fluent in English and have a good command of at least one other European language. French would be an asset;
• be a team player, enjoy being part of a dynamic multicultural team and working in an international environment.

This is a stimulating opportunity for an enthusiastic young professional who is committed, looking for a challenge and keen to gain valuable experience in food policy and the regulatory environment. Whilst a preliminary professional experience would be preferred, it is not a pre-requisite.

This position is Brussels-based. The candidate must have the right to work full-time in Belgium.
