smartEn is the European business association integrating the consumer-driven solutions of the clean energy transition. Our almost 100 members create opportunities for every home, car and business to support a reliable and decarbonised EU energy system.
You will be part of a dynamic, professional international team in the EU area in Brussels. Your tasks will focus on organising meetings, events and accomplishing overarching administrative tasks.
Main responsibilities
- Lead in the organisation of (physical/virtual) events and (public/private) meetings run by smartEn and with partners
- Manage an allocated budget for the achievement of agreed objectives
- Create simple, but attractive visuals
- Assist the smartEn team with general office operations, including the move to a new office in the EU area, and some administrative tasks, including management of (WordPress) website, server, phone contracts and printing of relevant materials
- Coordinate regularly with colleagues responsible for communications and partnerships
Desired skills and experience
- Interest in playing an active part in the clean energy transition
- University studies in communications, marketing or other relevant disciplines
- Strong organisational skills, autonomous and reliable, curious and creative mindset, flexible and cooperative team player
- Service-oriented approach in view of providing a great experience for smartEn members, including hospitality and technical support
- Attention to detail, ability to pre-empt challenges in events
- At least 2 years of experience in events organisation, including management of available resources
- Skills in video making and multimedia editing are a valuable asset
- Fluency in written and spoken English, conversational French and knowledge of an additional European language
- European citizenship/EU working permit
