About the role

The ETSC Road Safety Performance Index (PIN) programme is a high-profile benchmarking tool to measure improvements in road safety in countries across Europe.

We are looking for a dynamic, organised and self-reliant Policy and Data Analyst to support the PIN Programme Manager with robust data analysis and writing skills. You will need to be an experienced Microsoft Excel whizz, with a meticulous eye for detail and excellent organisational experience.

You will be working closely with experts in their field, policymakers, sponsors and external suppliers to deliver work to the high standard expected by one of the most respected voices in transport safety in Europe.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the PIN Programme Manager you will:

  • Design statistical surveys;
  • Collate and analyse road safety data using Microsoft Excel and web-based data visualisation tools;
  • Draft reports;
  • Organise events and working meetings;
  • Liaise with national experts;
  • Assist with communications activity, as and when needed.

Profile

  • Proven experience analysing data from multiple sources in Microsoft Excel;
  • Proven experience in transport, health or a related policy area;
  • A university degree in a discipline related to ETSC’s work;
  • Ability to communicate fluently, orally and in writing, in English; other European languages would also be beneficial;
  • Effective information gathering skills, good organisational skills, a flexible approach and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks;
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, collaboratively and with minimum supervision;
  • A proven personal interest in road safety or area of public policy promoting the public interest;
  • Willingness to travel within Europe when health conditions permit.
