About COLEACP
COLEACP is a private sector interprofessional not-for-profit association which manages development programmes in the agricultural and food sectors, financed by donors. Its members are producers, processors, exporters, service providers, related operators (carriers, freight forwarders, etc.) and importers, who are committed to the inclusive and sustainable trade of horticultural products (domestic, regional and international) from Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) countries.
COLEACP draws on more than 45 years’ experience of partnerships and support to both private and public sectors in 50 countries.

Main objectives of the internship
The main tasks of the Intern within COLEACP's Advocacy service will be to provide technical, administrative, and logistical support for the implementation of COLEACP's interventions related to partnerships development and policy dialogue.
More specifically, the Intern has the following responsibilities:

COLEACP has strategic partnerships with various organisations aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in developing countries. The main tasks to be conducted by the Intern involve support to:
2. F&V awareness sessions
In the context of the UN Year of Fruits and Vegetables, COLEACP launches a series aimed at discussing the crucial role that the private sector plays in the future of the agrifood sector and towards more resilient, healthier, and sustainable food systems and its contribution to key initiatives (UN Food Systems Summit, Green Deal, Farm to Fork Strategy…). The main tasks to be conducted by the Intern involve:
3. Admin and communication support
This list of activities is not comprehensive. It may be adapted according to the overall work of COLEACP and its programmes, the workload of team members and the annual programming. Internally, the Intern will collaborate regularly with the other members of the COLEACP team and work under the direct supervision of COLEACP’s Head of Networks and Alliances and with the project officer supporting the programme. Externally, the Intern will be in regular contact with partners (horticultural MSMEs, producer support structures, farmers organisations, development programmes, development organisations, etc.) and COLEACP service providers.

The position to be filled is a full-time position that will be performed remotely in Brussels or elsewhere for a duration of 6 months. The remuneration will range between EUR 800 - EUR 1300 per month, depending on qualifications, experience and location.
Contract starting 1st September 2021 if practicable (starting date flexible and earlier date possible).
