European Schoolnet is looking for an enthusiastic colleague with content creation and web editing skills. The successful candidate will be working in a team responsible for coordinating and running the eTwinning and School Education Gateway platforms, targeted to teachers and educators across Europe. The position offers a great opportunity to work in an international environment and closely with topics related to teaching and learning in a digitalised world.
MAIN TASKS
- Select, write, and publish content for web platforms, including proofreading, web editing and application of digital assets.
- Assist coordinating editing/publishing processes including contacts with internal and external contributors, liaising with translation coordinators, etc.
- Assist with testing and investigation of technical problems.
- Provide technical support to live events.
- Assist with user support activities, including handling content suggestions.
PROFILE AND SKILLS
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. technology, digital media, communications, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience with web editing and publishing (including knowledge of HTML and CSS); knowledge of web publishing tools, Content Management Systems. Previous experience with MOOCs and educational content is optional but desirable.
- Experience with online tools, such as video conferencing platforms and digital assets for curation, creation, and collaboration.
- An excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Additional languages are an asset.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to learn fast and deliver quality results while respecting deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness and determination to overcome issues and seek solutions.
- A team player with strong interpersonal and intercultural skills to succeed in an international environment.
USEFUL INFORMATION
- Duration: 12-month Limited Duration Contract (CDD) according to Belgian standard conditions. Full time (38 hours / week).
- Starting date: 1 July or as soon as possible
