Currently ESTELA searches for an EU Projects Officer helping the team to coordinate an EU-funded project (as coordinator), as well as engage on other projects and policy issues.

His/her main responsibilities:
- Supporting and implementing EU-funded projects activities:
- Monitoring the overall progress and deliverables of EU projects, preparing and writing the technical reports for the EU projects
- Monitoring national energy policies and developments, assessing their impact on the STE/CSP sector
- Cooperating with project partners, stakeholders, and policy makers (national and EU level) on a regular basis and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders
- Contribute to writing new project proposals within EU funded programmes
- Supporting and participating in project meetings, webinars, workshops, etc
- Policy-related tasks:
- Supporting advocacy work and influencing activities on EU policies, providing ad hoc input
- Supporting the team’s day-to-day operations
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the secretariat (such as members’ meetings, workshops, conferences)
His/her qualification:
Mandatory
- University degree in relevant fields (e.g., engineering/ energy/ economics/ environment/ sustainable energy management…)
- Deep understanding of the Energy/Renewables sectors at national, EU and world levels
- Knowledge or professional experience in management/coordination of EU-funded projects
- Experience in coordinating and managing external stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Knowledge of EU funding programmes and opportunities
- Good knowledge of EU and national policy-making, including regional political challenges
- Good understanding of topical EU priorities linked to the energy transition
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) is a must.
Assets
- Deep understanding of the CSP/STE sector
- Experience as coordinator of EU-funded projects
- Experience of writing technical reports
- Additional language (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, …)
His/her profile:
- Technical background in engineering, energy, especially renewable energies and STE/CSP is an asset
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and relationship management skills (can quickly establish good relationships with contacts)
- Strong analytical, organisational, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to prioritise and multitask, autonomous and independent in completing tasks, with good organisational and time-management skills
- Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
- Flexible: available to travel when required and able to work in a small team.
