Harwood Levitt Consulting delivers strategic counsel for both Fortune 500 companies and the NGO community. We are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to work on several new projects, in particular in the healthcare and environment areas. You will be the key contact on a multi-client portfolio, leading projects, and balancing competing demands. You must have the ability and desire to grow a business unit, be comfortable managing small teams of 2-4 people and be able to proactively build solutions on complex projects. A track record of successful client relationship management is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy: Provide insightful strategic counsel to colleagues and clients;
- Planning: Deliver workable public affairs strategies and plans supportive of client goals underpinned by solid rationale, models and thinking;
- Content: Create communications and advocacy collateral and run multi-layered external campaigns;
- Persuasion: Present your ideas to maximise visual impact and clarity in front of senior NGO and business leadership during workshops or other high-intensity settings
- Finance: Oversee budgets and client accounts;
- Integrity: Earn trust and put others first.
Required:
- Project management experience: Successfully manage a portfolio of clients and multiple projects, meeting client expectations and maintaining a high-quality work product;
- Ability to think critically and solve problems: Proven track record of finding solutions to complex public affairs issues and ability to communicate them effectively
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Proven record of initiative;
- 3-5 years experience: preferably with client/stakeholder relationship management;
- Knowledge of large organisational behaviour: Experience working in cross-functional and diverse teams;
- Knowledge of an industry sector: Deep knowledge of health and/or environment sectors is a strong asset;
- Comfortable with ambiguity: Able to find a solution to achieving goals without precise instruction on getting there;
- Excellent spoken and written English: Other languages desirable.
