The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s Multinational Development Policy Dialogue (MDPD) in Brussels is looking for an enthusiastic intern to support our team with day-to-day organizational and research activities on a full-time basis for a period of 3 months.
Under the current constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic, this internship will take place exclusively as a digital internship in accordance with the respective rules laid out by the Belgian government. Once the situation changes, we are happy to review the possibility of completing the internship at our office.
Contract Periods Available: Jan – Mar 2021 / Apr – Jun 2021 / Jul – Sept 2021 / Oct – Dec 2021

During your remunerated internship you will have the opportunity to gain insights into the operations and functioning of our programme, learn about the representation of a German political foundation and acquire detailed knowledge on policy making processes.

Who are we?
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s (KAS) Multinational Development Policy Dialogue (MDPD) facilitates policy dialogues on peace and security, sustainable development,climate change, democracy and governance. The programme serves as a European platform for our global partners from governments, parliaments, political parties, media, the judiciary, think tanks, civil society and the business community to share their experiences from projects and initiatives with EU institutions and other European stakeholders .  

What are the tasks?

  • assisting with organizing and implementing events
  • supporting the team with research on relevant topics
  • liaising with international experts in development cooperation from various European institutions, thinks tanks as well as the private sector

What do we expect?

  • a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. political sciences, economics, law, development studies)
  • ability to work both independently and in a team
  • good organizational and communication skills, as well as a proactive approach
  • ability to create reports and draft clear and concise requests
  • fluency in English (both, spoken and written)
  • good knowledge of German is an asset
  • proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
