JOIN OUR EU POLICY TEAM IN BRUSSELS

You will become part of an international team of 20 experts working on EU policy projects anchored within COWI's business unit dedicated to providing state of the art advice to international organisations and financing institutions. We transform problems, dilemmas, knowledge and data into possibilities and better decisions. We support policy development through economic and environmental analyses in our primary sectors of green transition, environment, energy and transport and climate action.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

In this position, you will join our global team of experts and work closely with Market Director, Malene Sand Jespersen. Your finest task in our team will be to apply excellence in policy analysis based on the Better Regulation Guidelines as part of teams performing studies primarily for the European Commission.

You will be based in our office in Brussels together with a team of consultants dedicated to providing high quality consultancy services to our EU clients. On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Perform studies, impact assessments and evaluations including design of consultation and data collection strategies and implementing actual data collection activities, such as interviews, surveys, workshops and conferences;
  • Design methodologies and implement work in relation to policy analysis and economic analysis, such as cost-benefit assessments, impact assessment, analyses of efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Manage deliveries, projects and proposals to our key EU Clients, notably DG ENV, DG CLIMA, DG ENER, DG MOVE, as well as the EIB;
  • Work in teams with skilled colleagues from various disciplines and apply your knowledge of the Better Regulation Guidelines in performing the above tasks.

To succeed in this position, we believe that you should be a team player with strong coordination and communication skills, who is good at understanding the needs of the clients and in adapting data collection and analytical tools to the context at hand.

Furthermore, you should:

  • Hold a degree in social science (preferably as Economist and/or with practical experience in applying economic analysis in a policy analysis context);
  • Have at least two years of experience in EU/EIB consulting;
  • Have knowledge and practical experience in relation to the Better Regulation Guidelines;
  • Have experience with the climate, energy, environment or transport sectors;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and proven ability to deliver consultancy reports to the European Commission.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you also:

  • Have experience as project manager;
  • Master other European languages, besides English.
