Position Description

The FSR Communications & Media Area is looking for a post-doc Research Associate. He/she will be required to:

Develop, design and conduct research activities in the field of Innovation Economics and in particular in the areas of Economics of science and technology transfer; Intellectual property; Innovation and Competitiveness
Support the dissemination of the project results through the organisation of trainings, seminars, workshops, roundtables and conferences
Write articles for academic journals and other publications
Attend international conferences and seminars as required

Essential Requirements:

Ph.D. in economics or related field
Experience in conducting empirical research and quantitative data analysis
Strong communication skills
Attention to details, strong organisation skills and commitment to finalise tasks assigned respecting given deadlines
Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds

Advantageous:

English mother tongue
Track record of relevant research and/or publications as well as demonstrable analytical skills
Experience handling large datasets and knowledge of R, SPSS, STATA or other related econometric packages

Languages:

Fluent English in writing and speaking. Knowledge of at least one other European language is an advantage.
