Innovation and Intellectual Property in the digital age: Global challenges and European responses

Position Description

The FSR Communications & Media Area is looking for a post-doc Research Associate. He/she will be required to:

  • Develop, design and conduct research activities in the field of Innovation Economics and in particular in the areas of Economics of science and technology transfer; Intellectual property; Innovation and Competitiveness
  • Support the dissemination of the project results through the organisation of trainings, seminars, workshops, roundtables and conferences
  • Write articles for academic journals and other publications
  • Attend international conferences and seminars as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in economics or related field
  • Experience in conducting empirical research and quantitative data analysis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to details, strong organisation skills and commitment to finalise tasks assigned respecting given deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds

Advantageous:

  • English mother tongue
  • Track record of relevant research and/or publications as well as demonstrable analytical skills
  • Experience handling large datasets and knowledge of R, SPSS, STATA or other related econometric packages

Languages:

Fluent English in writing and speaking. Knowledge of at least one other European language is an advantage.
