The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) is an expert organisation working to reduce the impact of explosive ordnance hazards around the world, in close partnership with states, international, regional and non-governmental organisations and other relevant actors. The junior programme officer traineeship is intended to provide recent post-graduates and junior professionals starting their career with an opportunity to gain exposure in mine action, human security, ammunition and explosives safety and security, international capacity development, cooperation and assistance and information management as applied to humanitarian programmes. The traineeship will engage the individual in the daily processes of an organisation operating in a multicultural environment with a global outreach.
