Since 1953, the Deutsche Aktieninstitut e.V. has represented the interests of capital market-oriented companies, banks, stock exchanges and investors. Our members represent 85 percent of the market capitalization of German listed stock corporations. In close dialogue with politicians, we work constructively on the development of capital markets and their framework conditions. It is also our goal to promote the share as a financing and investment instrument in Germany. Our core topics include raising capital through primary markets, trading in securities and the rights and obligations of board members, supervisory boards and shareholders. We also run the office of the Government Commission on the German Corporate Governance Code. From the Rhine-Main metropolis of Frankfurt, we are in regular professional exchange with our members and bring their positions into the legislative processes through our capital office in Berlin and our EU liaison office in Brussels.
