The European Liberal Forum asbl (ELF), the political foundation of the ALDE Party, is recruiting a fulltime Programme Officer to join its secretariat in Brussels.

Responsibilities

Project and event management: designing, planning, and implementing ELF programmes;

• Executing administrative and logistical aspects of events;
• Facilitating events;
• Supporting the creation of the annual work plan;
• Ensuring that ELF activities are implemented in line with the requirements of the European Parliament, Belgian legislation, the Statutes and the Internal Regulations of the European Liberal Forum;
• Maintaining regular and frequent contact with partners and networking proactively;
• Supporting the project team in the execution of ELF programmes.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in project implementation and coordination, ideally in a European or international setting;
• Experience with EU or EP grants is an asset;
• Attention to detail and good organisational skills;
• Understanding of European processes;
• Fluent English, working level of French;
• Ability to multitask and prioritise own workload;
• Affinity for liberal ideas.

ELF is offering a permanent contract with extra-legal benefits under Belgian labour law with a competitive negotiable salary, depending on experience

Ideal starting date: January 2020.
