Main tasks
The intern is expected to contribute mainly to the research activities of the EU-U.S. TTD project (more information below).
By doing so, the intern will contribute to the following tasks (including, but not limited to):
- Support the preparation and organisation of an event on sustainable trade in the U.S. in the context of the EU-U.S. Trade and technology Council;
- Contribute to the shaping of the thematic agenda (supply chains, sustainable trade and investments, global decarbonisation, digital trade and clean technologies);
- Coordination and logistics tasks;
- Coordination between the TTD Secretariat, TTD research staff and the European Commission;
- Further tasks as agreed with the supervisor(s).
Your background and qualifications
- Applicants must be enrolled in a fully accredited degree programme (Bachelor, Master, PhD) for the entire duration of the internship, preferably studying economics, European studies, international relations, law, political science, technology, or another relevant subject;
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- A proactive approach to work and sound teamworking skills;
- Interest in events organisation in the context of the EU-U.S. transatlantic relationship.
Desirable qualifications
- M.A. degree;
- Previous experience in a think tank or the private sector;
- Previous experience or interest in sustainable trade;
- Previous experience in/with the EU institutions (Brussels).
