We are recruiting a highly motivated sales and marketing person to support the revenue generation activities in our Business Development Unit.

Are you target oriented, unwilling to take “no” for an answer and keen to work in B2B sales? Then the Business Development Assistant position may be what you’re looking for.

Job responsibilities:

  • New membership and sponsorship acquisition (corporate sales in B2B):
    • Support the implementation of the business development strategy;
    • Support market research, generate leads and prospect membership and sponsorship;
    • Organize and attend sales calls and meetings;
    • Monitor, analyse and report on revenue generation;
    • Direct sales of membership and sponsorship.
    • Retain existing members and sponsors by building and nurturing relationships with existing members and sponsors;
  • Assist in developing and updating all (membership, sponsorship and events) marketing materials (in print and online);
  • Assist in administrative activities related to business development;
  • General assistance and organisational support to the Business Development department;

Your profile:

  • Related experience in a business development or sales role, ideally in an association (experience in corporate sales, customer relationships, B2B environment, membership and sponsorship sales);
  • Proven track record in generating sales revenues;
  • At ease communicating with all hierarchical levels;
  • Motivated to work with deadlines and ambitious targets;
  • Passionate about closing deals in a dynamic environment;
  • Proficient, outstanding communication skills in English is a must (oral and written) (any other foreign language is an asset);
  • Able to process large amounts of information quickly and take decisions;
  • Capable to work collaboratively in a team yet independently when required;
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, Sales Management or related field;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel (experience with CRM software is an asset);
  • Eager to learn about the solar energy sector and B2B business development;
  • EU citizen or in possession of a permanent Belgian work permit. Please specify status in your application. (Others need not apply)
